Covid Protocal

Being a Tourist in Costa Rica:

Neither vaccination nor a covid test is currently required to travel to Costa Rica. While vaccination is not required for any essential businesses or transportation in Costa Rica, it is currently up to the discretion of private hotels and restaurants whether or not vaccination is required. Commercial establishments must display their requirements on their exteriors indicating whether proof of vaccine is required or not. In most places you’d travel as a tourist, vaccination would not be a necessity. We can help guide you to coordinate your accommodations for before and after the retreat based on your needs. See below for requirements to travel to Costa Rica:

1) Travel Insurance:

While we recommend travel insurance for everyone, unless you’ve been fully vaccinated for > 14 days, you must get travel insurance. Fortunately, the process is quick and simple and we’ll walk you through it! Expect an email with details within a few weeks.

2) Costa Rica Health Pass

Anyone arriving in Costa Rica you must fill out a short digital form called a Health Pass within 48 hours of arrival. This is also a quick and simple process we’ll walk you through.

3) Retreat Center:

Regardless of vaccination status, upon arrival to the retreat center, you must have proof of a negative Covid test within 48 hours. An over-the-counter test is fine so please purchase one (or more) at a drug store before leaving your home country.

4) Return to US:

The US currently requires anyone returning from abroad to supply a Covid test within 24 hours of arrival. You can get a rapid test at the San Jose airport before your flight. We will ensure you have the information you need to usefully get a test before your flight.
